This tangential flow impeller is effective for low speed, high viscosity mixing. The 5 x 10 inch (125 mm x 250 mm) anchor blade is welded to a ⅜ inch (9.5 mm) diameter shaft, all electropolished 316L stainless steel. Sometimes referred to as a “sweep”, the high shear at the edges makes it a good choice to use close to the vessel wall.
